anyway, she's here. the planters she'd shown ruby how to plant seeds in last week are full of plants that have grown, sprouted, and in some cases started to bloom - jiuqing is in the process of harvesting some of them, now, though she leaves some cuttings in the planters so they'll continue to grow.
she doesn't look up from her work when she hears the door open. if gardening is therapeutic for her, it may well be for other people as well; she doesn't want to bother whoever this is with conversation if they came here for peace and quiet.]

[ it's a school dance! this is the night all teenagers dream of, isn't it? well. maybe not you. you'd much rather be back in your dorm room or doing something, anything else, but attending this dance.
but you have to...Weiss and Yang worked so hard to put this together for everyone, plus all of your friends are here! you can't run away now.
