[ ruby is standing in the middle of the simulation room, on this fine monday, and her emotions are that of

well. there's a lot she's feeling right now, as she looks at a grave. the name Summer Rose engraved on it, along with the lovely message of Thus Kindly, I Scatter.

there is a smile on her face, though small, but there's a sadness in her eyes. and that sadness can be felt, especially as she quietly says: ]

Hey, Mom.

[oh.

well.

she sort of feels like she's intruding. she pauses, her gaze lingering on the grave before it shifts to ruby.]

Miss Rose...

[ ruby turns around, blinks a few times, and then smiles softly. ]

Oh. Hey, Jiuqing.

[ the image shifts, a silhouette now standing behind the grave, it's back towards them both.

ruby looks back at it, sighing. ]

This is probably pretty sad to see, huh? Sorry about that...

[ if jiuqing tries to leave, sorry...but the panel is currently missing. ]

[she does not try to leave.

instead, she crosses over to ruby and puts a hand on her shoulder.]

Are you alright?

[ her emotions are a little all over the place, going from sad and lonely, to just upset. but when jiuqing puts a hand on her shoulder, that calms her.

there's a warm smile on her face, as she nods. ]

I am. I'm just missing her, is all...[ she shrugs a little. ]

It's been a while since I've gone to see her.

[ruby honey your feelings...

jiuqing's emotions shift to sympathetic, and she steps over to give her a hug.]

...I'm glad you had the chance to see her this way.

[ jiuqing...

ruby hugs her back, nodding. ]

Thanks, I am too.

[ then the image changes, the scenery taking on warm tones and the figure turns around.

ruby looks up, wide eyed, her eyes tearing up.]

There she is.

Oh...

[what a beautiful lady. jiuqing smiles, keeping an arm around ruby.]

You look so much like her, Miss Rose.

[ her face softens, smiling up at the figure of her mother and nodding. ]

Thank you...she's why I wanted to become a huntress. She was so strong and brave...I wanted to be just like her.

[ she has since accomplished that, but of course there is still that sense of insecurity she carries, that may never truly go away. ]

...well, I think you're very strong and very brave. So although I haven't met your mother... I would think you've accomplished that.

[ warm...she feel so warm and happy at hearing that. ]

Jiuqing...thank you, that means a lot.

[ hugs her, again!!

and for one last hit to the heart, the simulation has two more figures appear, one of a ginger haired girl with a pink bow and the other of a red head with a strong appearance. ruby blinks, stepping forward as the all three figures stand next to her. ]

Oh...

[this is like memshares all over again... but softer, somehow...

jiuqing blinks. ruby seems to... recognize them?]

Are they friends of hers...?

[ it is softer, because ruby looks at the figures with fondness.

she shakes her head lightly. ]

They're friends that I've lost, along the way.

Oh...

[...ruby's friends...]

I'm sorry for your loss, Miss Rose.

[ she is sad, of course, but she starts gesturing at the other figures and introducing them. starting with the ginger. ]

This is Penny Polendina, we didn't know each other for very long, but she was one of the happiest people I knew. She had a lot of love in her heart and wasn't afraid to try knew things.

[ then gesturing to the red head. ]

And this is Pyrrha Nikos, she was incredibly strong and had a heart of gold. She faced her fears head on and fought bravely until the end...

[ her smile turns sad, as she talks about her fallen friends. but there is also a warmth that radiates from her, at the sight of seeing them again. ]

[...ruby really is so strong.

losing people is terrifying. if there's anything jiuqing fears most of all, it's loss. so to be able to look at these images of the people she's lost and still be so warm, even through her sadness, is a lot.

there's gentle admiration coming from her as she listens to her explanation.]

They sound like wonderful people.

They certainly were.

[ some tears to well up in her eyes and she reaches to wipe them away, before turning back to jiuqing. the simulation making the three women turn to ruby and smile, waving like they can see her.

she glances back to wave, before they disappear and it's just the two of them. ]

I'll never forget about them, they'll always be right here. [ she puts a hand over her heart. ]

[her friends... her mom...

jiuqing smiles, watching as the women wave to her and then vanish, and puts a hand on ruby's arm.]

...yes, you're entirely right.

[ she smiles at her, putting a hand over hers. ]

And it's the same for Chang Geng, as long as we remember him, he'll never be truly gone.

[oh.

her emotions flicker at that - a little bit of loneliness, and regret, before ruby's hand goes over hers and it's joined by fondness.]

...yes. We won't forget him.
