[that tracks. exhaustion, sadness - honestly, it would be a little worrying if ruby wasn't feeling that. jiuqing's own feelings are a mix of protectiveness, and sympathy, and love (of the type for a family that doesn't suck, which i have to specify because jiuqing's birth family is awful).]
