[sometimes there really isn't anything to do but cry.

crying won't bring back chang geng or chinatsu, but honestly, neither will anything else the could be doing right now. and it's better to get this out now, while they can - before the trial they'll be having tomorrow - than it will be to be overcome by it while they're trying to solve the murders.
