[ well! she's got a nasty gash to the side, near her left shoulder, that looks like she was sliced with a dagger. then there's the very obvious stab wound in the center of her chest! they're no longer bleeding heavily, but they sure do still look fresh!]

We ran into Caduceus' sisters, the older one healed us up a little...enough so we wouldn't collapse right there. And the younger one was able to save the statues of our friends, that'd been turned to rubble.

[ she realizes how crazy that sounds, after the fact, but it's fine. ]

time to get literally all of these cleaned up and bandaged so that ruby can have a nice restful curfew with her girlfriend tonight.]

[ she pauses, frowning as she recalls it. ]

Monsters that could turn you to stone, just by looking at you...four of them, all versions of our missing...

[ she closes her eyes. ]

[ before jiuqing puts a hand over hers, ruby reaches up and touches the middle chest wound. ]

The scar this leaves will serve as a reminder...of what happened...
