[wow! these ghosts sure are busy. there's flowers everywhere, and the hustle and bustle of (paranormal) activity that would probably send some of my characters running. jiuqing, who knows this place has ghosts but isn't too bothered by them, takes a look around with a small smile.]
...how festive of them.
[i don't know how long roxana's been here or if they walked over together but they're in the same spot because this is a pc]
[ They can walk over together because that's cute? When was the last time Roxana walked anywhere with anyone that wasn't one of her questionable brothers. ]
They don't seem to be happy with what they're making.
[ Smash! As flowers hit a wall and petals flutter and fly everywhere. ]
[so i see from our new handwaved cr chart that both of them sometimes go onto the ferris wheel to vibe... so here's jiuqing, coming up on the entrance of it at just about the same time as roxana!]
in the apartment at night for the first time in A While. is kashuu's note from thursday still out? because if it is, she's just looking at it and looking guilty. oops. hi roxana.]
it might have been if you'd cut it off before she thought "disgusting". it's not easy, to watch through roxana's eyes as she speaks to her mother that way, but she does... sort of have a point.
how many times has she kept her own mother out of her scheming, to keep her safe? how many times has she told her to stand back and let her handle it? and even when her mother has gotten involved, it hasn't always been her mother protecting her. sometimes, she's the one who has to protect her mother.
maybe it's because she's thinking of that, but the bubble doesn't pop immediately. instead, roxana's memory shifts and merges into one of jiuqing's.
[i picked the cafe because i think the idea of them having a tea party is cute. let's say it's a little while after the panda has cleared out and the crowd has dispersed.]
once the dust has settled a little, jiuqing can be found in the garden near the meeting hall, looking at the flowers since whoever killed november so rudely fucked up the greenhouse. her vibes are calm (that's the hairpin), but a little melancholy.]
now that they're back and she's not aggressively trying to keep people calm lest any strong feelings cause certain people to turn into goats, she's allowing herself to feel without the blanket of calm from her hairpin - there's grief, because she's upset about atsushi and hurting for vin and ruby; there's anger, because she's so sick of this place making sport out of their lives; there's regret, because maybe if they'd done something a little differently, they could have repeated just the first part of last week...?
but there's purpose, too, as she looks at the gumball app on her phone. roxana can't see how many tokens she has i'm pretty sure, but each time she looks at it she reminds herself that she's going to try for something helpful tomorrow, as soon as she can.
she takes a breath, sets it down, and then opens the fridge to grab a bottle of mineral water.]
[ Roxana cannot see the number of tokens on the app, but she can recognize the app. She remembers what Jiuqing told her, about what she wants from the app, and she can only hope she receives it.
She thinks about it. ]
I'll take a water, thank you.
[ She is calm on the surface, and underneath, it's a sense of grimness. ]
We didn't have a repeat.
[ It is something she should be thankful for, but she isn't, not yet. ]
[ does the butterfly habitat have butterflies in it? i don't know. if there are, they aren't roxana's demonic ones.
but she thinks it's very sweet that people would still make one for her after seeing what hers could do. don't they know she's terrible yet? she's looking at this habitat whenever jiuqing comes over. ]

Jiuqing, today has only made me worry more for the weeks to come.
