And later, he got married... not to my aunt, but to the daughter of a house that could provide him with power and influence. But she's a thoroughly unpleasant woman, and she makes the both of them miserable. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if either of them wished they were dead... but that relief won't come so easily for them.
