when 9s arrives, jiuqing is already there, examining some of the seed packets. she looks up when she hears footsteps and nods to greet him, then returns her attention to the seeds.]
I've never seen it before, either. But someone mentioned them while we were discussing locations before, and I did a little reading in the library... it's a greenhouse. It provides optimal conditions for growing plants.
[she smiles]
There are some herbs I'm familiar with that I thought I might try to grow here.
[ah, the library. a bastion of peace and quiet. (it actually physically pained me to write that since i am typing this from a library that is very much NOT that.)
anyway, jiuqing enters the library with a neutral expression on her face. she seems to be steadfastly ignoring a tiger cub that is padding along behind her. "the common denominator of the universe is chaos, hostility, and murder," it says, and she just keeps walking. it repeats itself. she has been ignoring it since she stopped by the art room earlier.
she doesn't ignore 9s, though, and greets him with a polite nod.]
Hello there.
[the tiger cub starts talking. she continues to ignore it.]
[here they are, once again, on the rooftop. jiuqing is lingering by the railing, looking out into the darkness and the brightly-colored lights that illuminate parts of it.
she looks pretty peaceful, though.]
...almost there. [she says, once she hears footsteps.] We did good work today, I think.
week zero, friday
jiuqing is out for a walk after all the excitement of their murder mystery invitation, and she waves to 9s when she spots him.]
Hello. How are you doing, 9S?

[she sets a packet of seeds aside. she'll definitely be growing that one.]
Shale allowed me to take some from their garden, but it will be good to grow my own supply.

[this cub does not exist as far as she's concerned.
"life is a never-ending orgy of emptiness," it continues. jiuqing's eye twitches.]
