[well. that was a lot.

after an appropriate amount of time has passed, kashuu will find jiuqing in the medical bay, putting away some first aid supplies. there's a proper bandage and gauze around her neck. she's fine, albeit kind of drained and tired; before she's finished with the work, she takes a seat on one of the cots and sighs.

...and then looks up when she hears him.]

Kashuu. [she smiles faintly] Hello.

...Hey.

[He'll move to sit on one of the opposite cots, looking like he needs a nap, but nowhere near as haggard and upset as some of the people he's run into today. It's clear this whole mess has taken a lot out of everyone.]

S'there anything I can get you? Or do for you, or...

[Anything at all? He knows he can't help where it really matters, though.]

I think I'll be alright. The pod handled the worst of it, and I'll be cleaning out the wound regularly until I can use them again early next week.

[if vax and percy don't get in the fucking pods she will riot.]

...Yeah. At the very least, we know some of the things that can help, now. Gumballs for the refracted, if we catch 'em early enough, and whatever the hell happened for combat. It'll be hard to replicate it if we don't know why that happened, though... It can't just be because combat was picked at all, right?

If a culprit chooses combat again, I... might volunteer, provided I have not been injured in some way that week and provided they do not have someone they prefer to face. If it is something that repeats itself, I would be able to treat any injuries we suffer before we come back through that archway, in case we all stay frozen again.

...It probably wouldn't be a bad idea, but how much combat training d'you have? Would it help to have more?

...the first gumball I had was also orange, and the week I had it, I could use amber then, too. But those are the only two I've received. I didn't experiment with it on a week when I couldn't.

Yeah... We'd have to ask around a little more, but I know Buzen's gumball was green like his floor and Yasusada got an orange one when he could use amber, too. Might be that only people who use amber can get those three-token orange gumballs...

Mm... I dunno. When you use the whale thingy, I think it reacts to what you want. So maybe the gumballs are like that, too? Or maybe it's just the prism giving you what it thinks you need. Since you deal with helping all of us with our injuries or whatever, maybe it likes giving you stuff that can help and fix, and not weapons?
