jiuqing is looking around at some of the art supplies.]

I've never thought of myself as particularly artistic, but some of this looks interesting enough that I'd almost like to give it a try...

Art club at Thors always looked kinda fun. Not sure I’d be great at it, but fun’s the main part of it, right?

There's certainly no harm in giving it a try. How else are you supposed to discover whether or not you like a hobby?

...to be honest, the paints.

The paints are what you think of in an art room, huh? Hang on, there'll be some canvases and palettes are here somewhere...

They look a bit different from the paints I'm used to, if I'm being honest.

They don't look too dissimilar to what I'm used to? [ he is gathering the supplies ] What would you expect them to look like?

It's not so... sparkly, in Daxing.

None of it? The sparkly stuff's the stuff that stands out the most.

Not the paint, no. But there's plenty of gold and jewels, so the paint doesn't really need to be.

Ahh. That stuff's expensive as heck... so I guess art makes do another way.

What were you going to try to paint?

...scenery from my home, I think.

[she does not have pictures of it so she can't just look at it!! but given that this place apparently makes people? forget things? she's just going to be on the safe side.

they probably can't make her forget her home the way they made the invest group forget the library but she's nothing if not overcautious.]

... Oh, there's an idea. Wonder if I remember enough about Jurai to paint it.

I'm a little homesick, yes.

... Yeah. I can understand it. We definitely got taken away from everything really suddenly.
