Accepting that we're stuck here would be giving up, I think. And... it's only been a week. It's too soon to do that.

Yeah, we have plenty of time. And stubbornness. And extra pairs of feet to do the running around. If we arrived there, there’s going to be a way for us to leave.

[jiuqing knows very little about magic and teleportation and whatnot, so she can't help but think of it as a door - and if you can walk in through a door, you ought to be able to walk back out of it.]

We just need to figure out how to get around everything. Learn more, and figure out how to use it and get out of here.

[ crow gives it a glance, before leaving her to it for the moment. he doesn't have much faith in his painting abilities, but he can probably sketch something so...

he will settle down and start on his own doodles. it's nothing neat or perfect, but it does look a little something like this, but in a rougher style. ]

Yeah. Or... as I remember it. Things looked a little different when I went back a couple of years ago, but this is how I keep seeing it if I think about it.

It's Empire capital. Erebonia peacefully annexed it about ten years ago.

Without context, I'm just kinda saying words at you. Don't worry about it. It was my home, and then someone bigger, and more powerful decided they wanted it.

It's fine. They did it peacefully. If you asked them, there were no casualties. But, really, there was only one.

My personal feelings aside, it’s done pretty well for itself.
