...yes, it's better now than it was before. My mother divorced him, and I helped her find her own household in the capital. I've been able to support her through my work with my clinic.
[her brow furrows, though.]
I just hope everything's alright without me there... and that my aunt doesn't try anything. My father didn't marry her after my mother left her, like she thought he would. He married the daughter of another family for political reasons. As I understand it, my aunt's life is rather miserable now.
[there is an undercurrent of "it's what she deserves" in her voice. she doesn't sound sympathetic to her aunt's struggles at all.]
She probably doesn't have the resources at her disposal to do much of anything, but... she tried to kill both my mother and me several times, and that was before she fell out of favor. She may not have the means, but at this point her resentment must be very strong.
I wish I was there to keep an eye on things.
[if she goes back home to discover that her aunt broke into her mother's house and stabbed her she will RIOT]
[Humans are always so fckin COMPLICATED!! HELP. It's not a story Kashuu hasn't heard before, and it won't be the last one he's heard that's like it, because humans truly cannot seem to exist with each other without some form of conflict emerging sooner or later.
Either way, since he's a very biased existence, he reflects her sentiment: if she's not sympathetic to her aunt, then he doesn't have to be, either. Binch is out here trying to murder people anyway hello!]
Geez... Yeah, humans with a lot of resentment can be- [Hm.] -a lot to deal with.
[To say the least. He sighs, his free hand rising to rub at the back of his neck.]
We really gotta get you outta here as soon as possible then, huh.
[THEY SURE ALL DO... He sighs, looking tired for a second.]
Yeah... I don't-- really like this, either. [Discomforted, before the clarifies.] The way this place messes around with us, even if it isn't, like... an active risk.
[There's no "nah we won't" about it because that's his wholeass self out there in the void somewhere... Anyway in return for her sad story earlier, she'll get one in exchange now!]
When something happens to a sword's real body, it's not a good thing, y'know? It's like - even if they're fine, but they're just left in a bad place with too much negative energy, it can really tear up the spirit. I've heard that it's happened to some before... Getting too tied to dark feelings, until they can't remember what they are anymore or what their purpose is, or that they're here to serve and protect. When it gets like that, all they can do is feed into other people's sadness and hurt, too.
[did u know they made a form of corruption canon in myu IF NOT SURPRISE]
[can't wait for one of the swords to commit a corruption murder or ten]
Oh...
[well, this is certainly going to explain (redacted) in a few days!! but for now, she has no idea. it just sounds like a very sad story. she reaches over to put a hand on his shoulder.]
...we'll definitely make sure that doesn't happen to you. To any of the three of you.
Kashuu pauses for a second though, before just smiling. He hates this effect even if he simultaneously feels fine with sharing these things while he's sharing them!!]
Hah, thanks. Good news is, wherever me and Yasusada's blades are, it's not affecting us... [THEIR BROKEN CONNECTION.] And Buzen seems fine, too.
[Except for that time on Saturday but that was clearly a Prism thing and not a Sword thing, as far as he's concerned.]
That is good news... [it would be better if they weren't separated from their blades though!! seriously give them back.] ...I don't know much about... well, what the three of you are... but if there is anything I can do to help you, please do let me know.

You don't have to apologize or anything. You're the one who ended up having to share something like that...
[He doesn't say "sorry for being here and listening in THAT WAS CLEARLY PRIVATE" in words, but the sentiment is there.]
--Um, you don't have to answer or anything, obviously, but... is it any better? That whole... thing.
[That whole MESSY FAMILY THING.]

[her mother? her patients? hello? she has so much she was in the middle of before all of this.]
We all have places we need to return to.

Yeah... I don't-- really like this, either. [Discomforted, before the clarifies.] The way this place messes around with us, even if it isn't, like... an active risk.

It's invasive.
no subject
[No bitterness, but his expression drops in a way that briefly shows his age - just a little sliver of something not quite human shining through.]
It was pretty invasive from the start, considering they took some pretty important things from some of us.

Kashuu is smiling, on the other hand!]
Hah - you're a pretty caring person, huh? You don't have to worry about us! But thanks - I totally will, okay?
[He will not because all swords are Like This but it's the thought that counts!!]

I'm a doctor - worrying about others is what I do. Even if they make unconventional patients.

[Said with a little bit of amusement in his expression! But some fondness, too.]
