It just turned out that way. There were other weeks the luminol would have been helpful - it's not really anyone's fault that it was only available for two when we didn't really need it.

The other things could have just as easily been unusable if we'd been unlucky.

Eugh... Yeah, that's true... I'm glad we had some luck. And while I'm reeeally hoping we're not gonna be dealing with any more refractions or death, Yasusada's gumball pretty much does the same thing, anyway.

You guys must've been pretty frustrated by your job sometimes, though. I'm guessing you probably didn't have as much control over it all as you'd have liked, right? That seems to be a pattern.

...not really. Miss Nogiku and I had a general idea of what we were choosing and who might get it, but we still had to ask around to find out what it did.

Emet-Selch's dreams didn't always turn out the way he wanted them to. Clarte's was sort of a shot in the dark if we didn't know who had been refracting the week before, and Sir Yasusada...

Geez... What a pain. Talk about doing things in a roundabout way, huh? It's a good thing the refracted were usually pretty obvious, too...

[Clarte called him on duty to help find them but then they were literally all immediately obvious at execution, gotdamn. Or at least to Kashuu they were... Some people (Damien) might not have noticed BUT STILL.

Anyway he does agree that his pompom had the hardest task considering he almost died about it but he will tactfully not say that.]

...Yeah. I'm glad I could at least do that, even if I couldn't do much else.
