[when jiuqing goes to the medbay to see how the newly returned group is doing, it's to find vin in a pod.

(which is concerning in its own right - she still doesn't really understand how it works, just that it does, at this point.)

so she waits, busying herself with sorting through the remaining medical supplies in the medbay and setting aside some of the first aid items that would be good for the injuries she'd seen on her before she was carried away. it's possible vin won't need any of them, but she'd rather be prepared, just in case.

whenever she does come out of the pod - which i don't know how long that'll be, i can't see your pod comment - she's there waiting.]

Miss Vin?

[i still haven't heard back but she's probably stabilized by now. i put in two hours so that's probably right.

she comes out, and blinks when she sees jiuqing, pausing.]

...You stayed?

[countermeasures]

[she nods]

Of course I did... I was worried for you. [...] How are you feeling?

[allomantic]

I am...

[after a moment:]

I will be alright.

[there's a kind of hitch in her voice, though, like she's shoving down some kind of emotion.]

[countermeasures]

I'm sure you will.

...but it would ease my mind if you would allow me to treat your injuries.

[allomantic]

...Alright.

[a beat.]

You may need to help me get out of this clothing.

[there's so much leather.]

[countermeasures]

[she nods and will get to work doing just that!]

If anything hurts, tell me so that I can treat it.

[allomantic]

Alright.

[after she's able to take everything off, not seeming too shy about it, jiuqing will find a few things. on her side, there's a wound that looks like it was made with some kind of bladed weapon, but a very powerful one. it's the most serious wound she's sustained. there's another, smaller stab wound on her upper back, and the front of her torso, one of her arms, her shoulder, and one of her legs are badly burned. all of these injuries have barely begun to heal.

there are a few other marks that look like they weren't caused today. from the way they're completely healed, it seems like she received them before she got here. the simpler one looks like a scar from a knife on her upper arm, near her shoulder. there's another on her abdomen that looks like some kind of puncture wound, starting in her lower side and going all the way through her back, like whatever caused it was shoved straight through her. there are cuts moving outwards from the puncture, as if there were small blades attached to whatever cut through.]

Luckily... I've treated injuries of these type before. I should be able to help you, though of course, once the others are out of the pods, we can give that another try.

[for now - bandages, things to clean out the injuries, gauze, burn salve, numbing ointment... she grabs some of the painkillers too and holds one of the pills out to her.]

This will help ease any pain you're feeling. I've taken them myself, and they're safe.

...Nothing that will not heal, or has not already.

[she looks at the pill for a moment before nodding. she trust jiuqing, so she takes it without much fuss.]

[there's maybe a tiny hint of a smile, even though it's exhausted.]

...I'm fairly sturdy, I've found.

Good. I'd be quite cross if it was any worse than it is.

[she'd have to go beat the ass of whoever did that to vin with her wimpy doctor arms]

[she smiles again]

...this is what I learned medicine for: to help people I care about. I'm glad to be able to put my skills to good use.

[she looks grateful, but she stays quiet for now to let jiuqing finish.]

i'll be honest i don't actually know how to treat all of this and i don't want to spend all my time googling it to try to figure it out. luckily, jiuqing knows what she's doing so you can assume vin has been well tended to]

[she pauses for a moment, expression tightening.]
