You saw in my memory that I wanted...God to forgive me. For my good deeds to soothe my soul. I don't know if that's possible, in the end. But it doesn't stop me from trying. If you think it counts...then good.
Truly bad people don't seek forgiveness for any reason, and they don't feel like they're in any need of soothing. I think I've said something like this before.
If you continuously try to do good, then that's all anyone can ask of you. Including yourself, I think.
