I think itsuki went to the place in her memories but susensei was there too right?/ i think for me I only really konw the stories shes told me would that help
Shale's started off with us dreaming about a safe place, I think. Somewhere that made us feel at home.
Then, we entered a forest, like something out of a storybook. There was a brook where a mother and her deer drank from, a rabbit gathering mushrooms, etc. Also, the animals spoke. But the deeper in we went, the more ominous the forest became.
A lot after that was more specific to our own lives, and I think I in particular was affected by the weapon I chose - relevant to one of Shale's friends, I believe - but at the end of things:
Actually, I was blind then, so I couldn't really see anything.
But from what I could tell, there were statues that were in fact people and animals turned to stone, including Shale's family. That was the reason behind their own form here, initially. It sounded like the same was happening to Percival, Ruby, and Crow as they fought, but nothing happened to me - perhaps because of my lack of sight?
One of Shale's sisters had a staff, which we returned to Shale after. We didn't get the chance to meet anyone but Shale's sisters, but their names were Calliope and Clarabelle. They said they'd take care of their mother, father, and Aunt Corrin and Colton.
Also, in general throughout the entire thing, there were butterflies we followed and a voice saying, "Some of this happened once, and some could come to pass, but that doesn't mean it is happening now."
I think they would. The more I know, the more authentic I ought to be able to make it; Steel will be more difficult for me, as she is the only one whose memories I did not witness. I've seen at least one part of Shale's home through his.
Another thing was that we were often pressured to make decisions, often whether to act or to wait for guidance. Based off what I know of Shale, it may be something that hits close to home for him.
Sakura trees have a special meaning for her. Do be careful, though. Many of her memories seem to be at least somewhat viscerally painful for her. She nearly turned violent when we triggered them for her, even if she did calm down quickly enough.
If you've any input, then, on what will be safest to use... that would help as well. I do not wish to simply make her think returning home will be too painful.
I think reminding her directly of her dead loved ones, for one, might not be a good idea.
But she holds a strong sense of duty towards her home of Inazuma. She told me about the Sacred Sakura, which we helped preserve in our venture and which serves as Inazuma's sacred protector. In Inazuma, everyone believes it to have been eternal, but Steel lived from before a time it existed.
The way Steel put it was that she knows not of pain, but "there is something in the holding of the memory that carries a weight." But she doesn't begrudge the people for not knowing, as she understands that it may be comforting for them to think that such things have always been present, considering how much loss is actually scattered throughout their land's history.
[I don't want to paste these in text format so here yams will tell him about these.]
i dont know about avoiding or not avoiding so much as helping her realize that maybe this place isnt the one that needs her protection and her balance but that her duty is to her real home shalesan told me before that he believes this is the place he belongs right now but that if he realized he was needed somewhere else then he would follow that path but steelsan truly believes that theres no leaving here and that we all just need time to realize that this is our home now so if i had to guess id say the first step would be helping her accept the idea that there really is a way out i know change is probably scary to her and it goes against her beliefs but things have already changed because of us anyway
[Actually, adds this too--a little while later:]
for what its worth we were talking about all these things because of what happened with vax and percy i told her that her ideal sounded really nice but that with the deaths continuing to happen, it wouldnt ever be possible and she told me she wouldnt accept a world in which kiyomitsu and i were forced to make a choice like they did
[can't believe we're badending because anmitsu didn't have to execute each other and now steel won't ever change her mind (no)]
Shale still seems uncomfortable or detached recalling something about his family, such as when we mentioned that they're waiting for him for whenever he's ready.
I also know that he left home to travel with his friends and help them with their problems, and then he told us, "I always figured, when I'm meant to find them, I'll find them again." Them being his family, not his friends, I believe.
Mm. I believe the memory I saw of his was when he decided to leave; I saw his home, the place he lived and took care of, and a vision of his which occurred before their arrival.
yeah i dont think its a good idea to try and convince her to give up her goals completely or anything maybe we could if we wanted to stay here for a long time but with everything else i dont think we can do that so maybe its more about helping her think that its okay for this place to change and that its possible for us to leave it
By the way, should I still paint Vax'ildan? And if so, with which colours? If he's not refracting, then this is going to influence his behaviour like it did for Itsuki, Aymeric, and Marceline.
